OSMANTHUS FROM CHINA
Osmanthus comes from a shrub, which gave its name to the city of Guilin, which means “Osmanthus forest” in Chinese.
The flowers it produces can be white, orange or red. They bloom from September to October during 10 days.
They must be treated within 24 hours after the harvest in order to preserve their delicate fragrance.
Sweet and fruity, Osmanthus has apricot notes that also bring to mind dried fruit such as prunes.
Its scent is described as sensual, subtle and soft.
Top notes are Chinese Osmanthus, Mandarin Orange, Lemon and Bergamot
Middle notes are Peach, Rose, Orange Blossom and Benzoin
Base notes are Tonka Bean, White Musk, Violet, and Vanilla.
